PLACES | sky garden

On Saturday, Sunny and I started our day 35 floors high. We went to visit the Sky Garden which is literally a green garden in the sky. It is FULL of palm tress and the architecture design is simple but stunning. There's something super modern about the curved glass. The view of London was the best I have ever seen. PLACES | ACNE Archive

So, I graduated today.... Meaning I'm back on the blog. After accepting a job at Harvey Nichols back in March, continuing to work with Zoe Jordan and House of Sunny along with completing my final three months of University and maintaing some kind of social life, I just couldn't find the time to blog. Plus the last thing I wanted to do at the end of a day was continue to write/edit on a computer!

However from my last exam in June, till now, I have seen, brought and been to plenty of places to tell you lot about, and number one on my list is the Acne Archive Store.

Sunny took me to Stockholm for my Birthday this year, and after receiving the plane tickets with my birthday card on June 6 I began my research. I read mixed reviews about the Acne Archive store and gathered it was all about timing and luck. Knowing it was the end of the season I was hoping for the best.

The store was small and discrete yet when in side it felt spacious. There was plenty of sizes to choose from and an amazing denim wall. They had a large mixture of different seasons and sold accessories, shoes and clothes with about 70% off and the staff couldn't have been more stylish and helpful if they tried.  What more would you want?

PLACES | cocochan

Cocochan sits just behind Selfridges. (38-40 St James Street, London, W1U 1EU)
It's a pan-Asian restaurant with monochrome interiors, minimal dinnerware and the food is perfection. What else could you ask for? I ordered the “Spider” Soft Shell Crab Futo Maki, it was amazing and a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc, Touraine, France which I would also recommend.

PLACES | the laundry

You'll find me at the Laundry most Sunday's at their bar/canteen. In fact, I am heading there after this post. They do the most incredible weekend brunch and cocktails, plus their rustic meets modern interiors are amazing.

It's a really close walk from London Fields/Broadway Market and I would recommend it to everyone.

PLACES | tiosk

Located on the renowned Broadway Market this tea shop has every tea imaginable. Although it was the decor that attracted me to Tiosk

White brick walls, bare bulbs and copper details gives this place an industrial feel, yet the plants in jars and the snug enclosed seats at the back make it feel comforting.

Fresh mint tea | £2.50

PLACES | spa

Everything’s white, there’s a roof top pool, green plants, marble and glass pod scented steam rooms.

The Thermae Spa in Bath designed by Grimshaw Architects is well worth a visit. I could only post one photo as images just don’t do this place justice. The spa is filled with glass and steal bridges dotted around connecting the space together and the steam rooms are these huge glass round pods with the largest waterfall shower I have ever seen placed in the centre of them.

The stairs have to be the chicest stairs case ever, they are white with a grey stripe defining each stair and have large black industrial wall lights which frame them. [check for my Instagram for images]
